Some of the country’s top wineries and prime picnic spots await your visit to the Wine Road.

The Daily Meal, an all things food and drink website, announced their “101 Best Wineries in America for 2015”.  Thirteen Sonoma County wineries were on the list, with eight of them being Wine Road members—ACORN, Balletto, Frick, Iron Horse, Littorai, Pedroncelli, Ridge and Rochioli. Congratulations to all!

The wineries on this 101 best list were nominated by experts in the field—sommeliers, wine writers, chefs, and restaurateurs, along with editors at The Daily Meal. The selected wineries vary in size and location. Some of them are open daily while others are by appointment only.

With 200 winery members in the Wine Road, it is quite possible the judges haven’t been to all of them. We suggest you

check out as many of our member wineries for yourself and determine your own “Best Wineries Along the Wine Road.”

Two other recent blogs listed some of the top picnic spots as well. With it being prime picnic season, we wanted to share those lists with you as well:

With lauded wineries and picnic spots to spare, it looks like it is time for a trip to the Wine Road!
