Sharing Your Perfect Day

Rebecca Germolus on Oct 1, 2019

We all dream of a perfect day. Taking time off, away from the routine of our daily lives. Doing exactly what we love to do.

Planning that day can be challenging if you are going to a new area or region. Even locals may not know all the cool places to eat, stay, shop, recreate, sightsee, and of course, taste wine. Now you can share your thoughts on your perfect day along the Wine Road, and help others learn more about it, too.

Find Your Perfect Day

Earlier this year, the Wine Road launched a new blog called, Find Your Perfect Day: Along the Wine Road, in Northern Sonoma County, CA. This blog is a collection of perfect days from people who love visiting or living in Northern Sonoma County. We want to hear from everyone!

Feast for the Eyes or Palate

There are as many perfect days as there are people. Everyone is unique and enjoys different aspects of Sonoma County. Someone might visit just to enjoy the beautiful landscape, while others visit a different restaurant for every meal. One visitor told me they are always in search of the most delicious biscuits and gravy for breakfast, while another seeks an impeccably made Beef Wellington.

Getting in the Miles

Maybe your perfect day includes enjoying the range of outdoor recreational activity found here.

Shop ‘Til You Drop

Then there are folks who love the quaint shops scattered throughout the county, like Gin’ gilli’s Vintage Home in Geyserville, Mr. Ryder and Company in Graton, or Worldly Goods or the Tea Shop in Duncans Mills.

Visual Wonders

If you love exploring the many antique shops or art galleries, here is your chance to share your favorites with others, and there are so many to choose from. Have you been to Fulton Crossing in Fulton, or the Sebastopol Center for the Arts? Just two of the many art galleries in the area.

Healing Power of the Ocean

Maybe a day along the coast is all you need to restore your soul. With so many amazing beaches, hiking trails, and vistas along our coastline, it might take more than one day to experience all your favorites.

Relaxing in a Favorite Spot

Is picnicking above Lake Sonoma your go-to spot to relax? Is sipping wine in the garden at your favorite lodging how you’d like to end your perfect day? Or, maybe soaking in a hot tub after biking the backroads?

The Perfect Cup

One thing that always helps to make my day perfect is a latte at one of my favorite coffee shops. Since I travel around for work, I try to have at least one favorite coffee shop in every town. One of my favorite hidden gems is Bella Rosa Coffee Company, just south of Windsor near our local airport. But, if I’m not near the airport, every Oliver’s Market uses their coffee, too, so I can grocery shop while sipping a soothing latte.

Bella Rosa Coffee Company isn’t easy to find, but the coffee is so worth the hunt.

And Then There’s Wine

Wine tasting, wine experiences, tasting pass, wine day trips, wine events—along the Wine Road, you can find so many options to taste, experience, and learn the pleasures of wine. The WineRoad website is your go-to resource to make sure your perfect day is just that—perfect!
